Milwaukee Magazine’s 2026 January Cover feature was “52 perfect saturdays in milwaukee”. While the art department brainstormed cover ideas, I came up with the idea of basing the design off of a deck of cards.

while this wasn’t the chosen art direction, the team decided a deck of cards would be a great addition for our readers. i was then tasked with designing the 52 cards based off of the feature story from January.
